We’ve got the hot line to our car.
Our team provides all electrical systems outside the high voltage battery to monitor and coordinate the car and to ensure the highest possible safety.
Our activities focus on the development of these systems. Including all steps from the architecture design and drawing of the circuit diagrams to the creation of the PCB layout and the assembly of the PCB and to the development of the software for the microcontrollers.
These systems record different measurement values in the car, such as the speed of the front wheels, the steering angle and the position of the gas pedal. Furthermore, they ensure the safety of the driver and the environment by individually handling and displaying different error cases in the vehicle. For example, in the event of a critical system fault, the electrical connection to the high-voltage battery is disconnected.
The evaluation of these measured values and vehicle states is possible either directly via a screen in the cockpit or via the real-time transmission of a telemetry system developed in-house. Furthermore, it is possible at any time to evaluate the entire CAN bus, via which most devices communicate with one another, on site or to emulate the CAN communication of individual or several systems for error detection.
We plan and manufacture the wiring harness to ensure communication and interfaces between the systems and devices. Additional we develop the software control of the drive motors ourselves. For the concept of the autonomously driving car, we develop the electronics and software for controlling the steering actuators.
