Team Leader: Julian Richter
We keep the vehicle together.
In the Chassis & Composites subteam, we combine the manufacturing techniques of conventional materials with those of modern prototype development. Our team is responsible for the primary structure of the vehicle and at the same time forms a competence center for composite materials.
We are developing the tubular steel frame which ensures the protection of the driver and the cohesion between the components of the vehicle. We are keeping track of the packaging of the entire vehicle and are responsible for the correct arrangement of components.
The second main task of our team is the design and manufacturing of components made of composite materials such as CFRP or GFRP. Due to the special, weight-specific material properties of these high-performance materials, there is an increased lightweight construction potential in this area. We carry out material tests and manufacture material samples in order to continuously
